Sitaria

Sitaria est un projet musical mené par Uwe Neumann à la sitar, proposant des concerts de musique classique indienne. Ce projet met en lumière la richesse mélodique et la dynamique rythmique caractéristiques de cette tradition musicale.

Uwe Neumann a présenté de nombreux concerts en duo avec son projet Sitaria (sitar-tablas), collaborant avec des maîtres tels que Shankar Das, Jagjit Singh, Shawn Mativetsky, Hindole Mazumder, Subhen Chatterjee, Debasish Das, Subhajyoti Guha, Partha Sarathi Mukherjee et Indranil Mallick aux tablas.

Ces rencontres musicales se distinguent par une grande complicité entre les artistes, où compositions et improvisations se conjuguent harmonieusement, témoignant d’une compréhension profonde de la musique indienne.

Le sitar, né au 13e siècle, est le fruit d’une fusion entre le Veena du sud de l’Inde – avec son système de ragas – et le Rabab perse, enrichi d’ornementations d’influence arabe. Cette synthèse a donné naissance à la musique classique hindoustanie telle qu'on la connaît aujourd'hui.

The sitar, originating in the 13th century, is the result of a fusion between the Veena of South India — with its raga system — and the Persian Rabab, enriched with ornamentations of Arabic influence. This synthesis gave rise to Hindustani classical music as we know it today.
