When Music Reveals the Activity of Plants *Encounter with the Living* is an immersive workshop that offers a fascinating introduction to a technology that transforms the electrical variations of a plant into musical data. Patrick Therrien presents the history of this remarkable approach, from the earliest experiments with plants to today’s technologies, including *PlantWave*. He explains how the device works and demonstrates how signals from a plant can be converted into musical notes and sound.

At the Heart of the Living… *Live!* A living plant is connected to the device right in front of the participants. Patrick performs musical compositions inspired by his creative world, followed by *an improvisation based on the data generated by the plant*.
