A graduate in music education from Laval University, Patrick Therrien shared his passion for music by teaching in Quebec schools for 33 years. Between composing, rehearsing, concerts, virtual performances via Zoom, hosting TV shows, and writing stories for children, Patrick continues to compose and perform his works on vibratory flutes, accompanied by various collaborators.

Since 2016, he has produced two remarkable albums, Watopeka... sur le sentier de l’Être and Watopeka... la première Ascension, awarded the World Beat prize at the Akademia Music Awards in 2019. He was also named Artist of the Year in the "Best Vision" World Beat category and won Album of the Year in the "World Music" category in 2020. Recently, he was nominated in the "Rising Star" category at the Akademia Music Awards for his talent and perseverance.
